This is an opinion piece masquerading as reportage. What about this was "botched" as the headline says? Putting doctors in lab coats to visually indicate that they are doctors is pretty silly, but also an understandable piece of reality when trying to get a message across when the event will end up boiled down to a single image in the media. Then the piece uncritically repeats some unsupported opinions from opponents of the president. This is journalism at its worst. If the lab coats were on actors, there might be a story here, but there really isn't. Sure Obama "broke no new ground", who is expecting "new ground" to be broken in the health care debate. The administration is trying get out the message about the ground that's already been broken.
