Interesting, though too short, article about how a couple of biotech companies and Microsoft will be participating in a controversial study about consumer gene tests. An interesting range of viewpoints are included. Basic discussion of ethical and legal concerns surrounding this study to help reader understand what is at stake. There seems to be a lot of money to be made in this relatively new field, so I look forward to an enterprising investigative report by a team of SV reporters who can really explain what is at risk -- and who benefits most -- from gathering genetic information from so many.
