Few publications can match the excellent profiles of The New Yorker. Ms. Collins has produced a stylishly written, extensively researched, long, excellent profile of Arianna Huffington.

I love this story, but admit that I am nuts about Arianna and boy has she changed since I first watched her on television. I think she was married to some rich Republican pervert back then. It just goes to show that even conservatives can get religion. I love the format of her site and happy it is doing well. I have never watched the Sludge report and never will. Had no idea how Arianna started out in life and she has really made it because of her intelligence and drive. As for the English creeps she had to put up with I'm not surprised at all about those types. I really like this site and Daily Kos and Buzzflash and dozens of others and I think they fill a great void on the Internet because the mass media is not to be trusted, especially the electronic media. Cable and the Networks are the pits and full of liars and prevavicators. Olbermann and Maddow and Jack Cafferty are mostly the only decent newscaters going.
