No rescue in sight for what ails economy

Even if the financial bailout works, the economy faces troubles too pervasive and entrenched to be solved any time soon, analysts say.

While Americans have spent the last month transfixed by the spectacle of one financial giant after another crashing to the ground, the rest of the U.S. economy has been sinking in the muck.

I think this story gives the straight facts without much opinion. This is a good objective piece. However, when discussing the economy during this time it is hard to view it any other way than negative.
