This story is not quality journalism. It is incomplete and does not offer enough information to properly inform the reader. This article does not specify how or where the conclusion that the headline suggests. The headline says "Independent" women - what does this mean? Party affiliation? Personality? The 3rd paragraph implies that it does not mean party affiliation. Also, the headline suggests that the women prefer Palin over Biden but the 3rd paragraph said that they came away with a better impression of Palin. Does this mean better impression than what their expectations were before the debate or a better impression of Palin than Biden? The headline also implies that all Independent/independent women in Colorado prefer Palin over Biden but the 4th paragraph says only 20 women were involved. I'm quite certain there are a LOT more than 20 women in Colorado. Plus, this article said there were two focus groups - this is a teeny sample!
