This appears to be a balanced and fair review of those accountable for our current economic crisis. The myriad of responsible parties provides a veil that is hard to pierce. This piece appears to debunk a couple of political ads and provides multiple links for further review of the parties listed as responsible.

How eye-opening to read, backed up with well-sourced facts, that 11 parties contributed to the current U.S. economic crisis. If all media outlets told it as accurately as FactCheck.org does, the American people might actually be able to make informed decisions in their lives.

Objective and fair check on the facts. The article doesn't delve into long term trends but does a good job of debunking the current simplistic, misleading and inaccurate attack adds from MoveOn.org and the McCain campaign.

On the money with the facts and the time-line on how and when things happened.

I agree with the statement that there is plenty of blame to go around. Using this economic crisis to shift blame to one side or the other in this upcoming election is just wrong. The truth is much more interesting, and a solution to the problem is the real question.

I love factcheck because it does its best to keep everybody in check. It plows through considerable amounts of information to come to a reasoned opinion. I only wish that more people would check out factcheck.

Good article although I think they failed to address a key accusation against Phil Gramm - that his legislative actions prevented Federal regulation of collateralized debt securities and that these very complex securities are at the heart of our current mess.
