This is an interesting story on a worldwide problem, the illegal trade of ancient artifacts. In this community, Native American artifacts are commonly found and but highly valued. While the article questionably implies that the preservation and meaning behind these pieces of history are not as valued even among the Indians in this town because of their commonness, the sale of these artifacts is against a law requiring them to be returned to tribes, due to ceremonial and sacred natures.
