a compelling argument with a warning about the presidential election process in this piece and probably more than we would see in most u.s. newspapers, from a british newspaper.

I am always interested in how foreign commentators view our country. In this case, Hari provides a clear-eyed view of how the GOP has attempted to disenfranchise minority voters--and what impact it could have again this year. None of his information is new, but he puts it together into a bigger picture that should scare us all.

The author claims that reqiring a picture ID to vote is a"...vote-stripping tactic..." and constitues "...elaborate voter identification..." You have to be ill informed or an idealogue to make that assertion.
