The Palin Pick -- The Devolution of McCain

In one of our many conversations as we crisscrossed the country during his campaign for the 2000 Republican presidential nomination, John McCain said to me, "I've always tried to act on what I thought was the best for the country. All I can say is that this is a very good story, written by a very experienced and honest writer. It is just incredible what is happening in this campaign for president. McCain is acting like a man who has truly lost his marbles. I think his demeanor at the debate shows he is unfit to be president, or to continue being a senator for that matter. He is an angry man near the end of his life and cannot be trusted to do the right things anymore. I almost feel sorry for Sarah Palin and you can't blame her for wanting to accept McCain's offer to be his vp. However, her record shows her to be a very ultra conservative person with the kind of faults in her personal life that has doomed a lot better politicians than she is. I couldn't stand to watch her interview with Couric, it was so pitiful. It's doesn't make sense she is that ignorant. I mean she is governor of a state, even if it is a small one. McCain is a liar and a warmonger and is showing his true colors. He looked like he was ready to attack Obama at the debate. He was making speeches while Obama was at least trying to debate at times. God help the world if John McCain becomes president.
