Supporters of Sen. Barack Obama were more frustrated than those of Sen. John McCain at the conduct of the first presidential debate in Mississippi, according to the "Citizens Media Scorecard." By wide margins, they were more dissatisfied with the narrow scope of the foreign policy questions chosen by moderator Jim Lehrer of PBS.

This is a report of the results of an online poll taken by volunteers after the first 2008 Presidential Debate. This seems significant to me as the poll was really focused on the performance of the moderator, Jim Lehrer. Thus it recognizes the significance of the questioner's ability to frame a debate to favor one party or the other. While the results are not scientific due to the skewing of participants toward Obama, the similarity of purpose between this effort and that of NewsTrust was not lost on me.
