It is hard not to pick on Sarah Palin when she gives the kinds of answers to serious questions that beauty pageant contestants give when asked how they would save the world. She sounds unprepared because she is unprepared. No one needs to exaggerate or excessively elaborate on what she says. We examine these things as voters because Palin's selection is a choice by McCain and we need to examine his acumen in such matters. If elected, who would he want for various cabinet positions and so forth.
