An insightful article about Weathervane-McCain throwing his campaign to the winds and charging into Washington DC to joust against the 700 billion-dollar windmill. But it turned out to be a silent "putting the country first". After rushing such a long way he only uttered a few words, then sat on his hands watching the bailout implode. Seems many Americans didn’t buy his showboating. Results from a survey: "52 percent of respondents said Mr. McCain cares more about protecting the interests of large corporations, compared with 32 percent who said he cared most about protecting the interests of ordinary Americans."

This opinion piece has minimal journalistic merit. It is the usual Democratic Party talking points that this paper always presents. There is no sign here or anywhere else that Sen Obama contributed a thing to resolving the issue. He only says platitudes that suggest he does not understand the issue. McCain in fact shifted the debate, and the public is pleased that the Bush/Democrat bailout is not happening.

McCain is looking very partian in this latest episode. More like an erratic "drama queen" than a presidential hopeful.
