It's anecdotal but tries to personalize the problem of an apparently rational candidate running in an area that's become increasingly irrational. It doesn't really look at how the irrationality grew.

This makes good reading along with the David Brooks op ed.

Well written, clear and well resourced. Maybe a bit too proDougherty but nonetheless a good understanding of the local atmosphere surrounding the immigration conundrum.
