this is a picture, a graph of the campaign contributions of the senate (and pres. bush) financial committees' members given to them by corporations some of which at least are now affected by the current financial turmoil or crisis. what's not mentioned is that there is no surprisehere. members of all committees are given contributions by those most likely to be effected by any decisions concerning their business. so whatever influence in this situation happens it will likely be at the same level as most senate/congress/presidential decisions. until we have a different way to elect our government officials this is how it works.
