Posted by Kaizar CampwalaClear, simple analysis. I wonder if PolitiFact could have consulted another nonpartisan group in addition to the Tax Policy Center. Effective overall.
As is so often true when non accountants try to simplify very complex tax questions Holan "gets" most of it right, but misses many of the "drive a truck thru it loopholes". Overall she gets it pretty right and dumbs it down for the average 5th grader.
I went to the source of this article and found iinformation for individual taxes. I could not find any information about corporate taxes. I did find a pie graph about sources of current taxes. 48% of the revenue is from individual income tax and 36% is payroll taxes shared by individuals and their employer. Coporate taxes are 14% of the total. I am concerned about the analysis done by the author and the lack of information for corporate taxes on the source
This analysis provides a straightforward comparison of McCain and Obama's tax proposals as well as an evaluation of their effect by the Tax Policy Center. It follows through with an assessment of the accuracy of the candidates' ads and statements. More good objective journalism.
