'Hillary's women' reject McCain's VP choice

"The addition of Sarah Palin gave us a new sense of urgency," Kim Gandy, the head of NOW, told National Public Radio. "She is being portrayed as a supporter of women's rights... as a feminist when in fact her positions on so many of the issues are really anathema to ours.

Doyle has certainly captured the mood of the people I've heard from. Doing voter registration at a local farmers' market yesterday, we were practically mobbed by women who wanted to buy Obama bumper stickers and buttons. This opinion piece has no journalistic merit. It is totally unbalanced; not a single supporter of Glov Palin is quoted. NOW is a prominent organization, but not at all representative of women, there are other equally large organizations that have quite different views that should have been quoted. Only hard-core Obama supporters will find any journalism here.
