If you want to know what advice media pundits have for Obama, you’ve come to the right place. Like all free advice, some pieces have merit, and some pieces are worth the price. Although suggestions to ignore Palin are excellent strategy, they may be difficult to follow given that McCain keeps throwing her up in front of Obama’s face, which is a major piece of his strategy.

It is good journalism because it is heavy on quotations from sources to support a theme. While the sources and their opinions seem credible some historical perspective might be in order. Has any of these tactics been tried to good effect?

This is a compilation of the good advice Sen. Obama is receiving today from editorials garnered from nine different mainstream publications. Most of them can be summarized by "time to take the gloves off". Interesting to see the variety of angles the writers have taken. A worthwhile read for everyone, which hopefully will be taken into account by the Obama senior strategists.

Spengler says Americans do not want the weaker candidate for President. This is especially true in the National Security era where Obama has talked in the past about disarming America. That is one Area the President controls directly. He is also handicapped by the fact that Republicans understand Democrats but Democrats only have charactures of Republicans to work with. John Kennedy won by going to the right of Nixon on defense. He was credible because he was a war hero. Tactics are not going to change the fundamentals. All in all not a serious ... More »

There is nothing Obama can do. He can hope that McCain has a heart attack or makes some huge gaffe. The obviously biased media attacks on Palin have hurt the democrats badly. Obama comes across as a professor when he's not making speeches. The American people are too big to buy into the lets steal from the rich and distribute the money to the middle class. Robin Hood and Karl Marx are passe.

This new analysis has journalistic merit. While it consists largely of quotes, the author has chosen them carefully to represent a wide spectrum of sources, and to cover a range of opinions on the topic.
