Some real journalism! It's time the media put away their pom poms and cheerleading sweaters and start covering this election objectively. Maybe rerouting the Straight Talk Express into the mud actually wins elections. Then again, maybe not. Recalling the 1968 Humphrey-Nixon election: Nixon had an early wide lead, but as the election approached, his big lead evaporated as voters realized who the real Nixon was. Had the election been two weeks later, Humphrey would have won. 2008 could also backfire if voters wake up soon enough to what they are actually electing in McCain and Pulin as president and vice president.
