Are you an elitist? / 18 revealing ways to know for sure

You don't talk like a normal person. Only normal people talk like normal people. Kind of funny, kind of self-congratulatory, and all increasing the disrespect between the kids who went off to college and the city and the ones who didn't. Yeah, Republicans are calling us elitist and they mean elite and they're wrong to say elite like it's a bad thing (America could use a shot of elite right about now). But turning around and painting wide swathes of Americans as morons is not going to win any votes for well-educated, elite Whole Foods shoppers like Barack Obama. I'm not saying we should congratulate the proudly ignorant like Dubya and Palin. But we should show basic respect to good people who haven't been to Whole Foods. You'd have to be an idiot to pay those prices.
