As of now these seemingly dire things don't touch most Americans going about their lives. Driving here and there, cell phones, Little league. PTA, Football on TV, normal stuff. We all just hear this stuff on the news and in one ear and out the other and then it's hey! What's for supper? We hear about Gitmo but we don't really know anyone who's there. so big deal. Is it all even real? What's trillion dollars anyway? What I'm getting at is, it's all so abstract to most of us. It's sad when people dying is just words and more rhetoric. Truth? We all secretly hope it never hits home.
