The article documents Gibson interviewing McCain, and proving a soft questioner. This foreshadows the expected soft questioning of Palin, and provides a clue why the McCain campaign selected Gibson for Palin's coming out interview. The article includes lots of detailed fact checking and quotes that should have been in Gibson's knowledge base to support tough questioning of McCain claims if he truly were a first class journalist.
