[Disclosure: I head NewsTrust, which is cited in this article] Thoughtful report about the challenges of gathering quality information for and about local communities. The article focuses on a recent conference held at Google by the Knight Foundation and the Aspen Conference to address these issues. The author points to NewsTrust as a possible solution for helping people find information that they can trust. The report also identifies some of the challenges facing such enterprises, such as making online tools accessible to people who are not savvy with digital technology. Insightful coverage on an important topic, which I look forward to reading more about.
