The story about Kilkenny is a good presentation of how popular the letter has become. You must select the link to read the letter itself, which is recommended. My friend from Wasilla did not venture nearly as much information, as though she was hesitant to say much negative and preferred faint praise. I have been there a few times and the town is an interesting mix of hermits, rednecks, ordinary people, and wonderful people in touch with and in love with nature. Nothing there looked like the White House.
