This article is an example of good journalism. They take an historically important, particular story -- the Palm Beach county voting fiasco of the 2000 presidential election -- and show how it's happening again -- in a recent, close, disputed county election, drawing only a slim percentage of registered voters, a recount shows 3,478 ballots have disappeared, meaning the election probably will be decided in the courts, a la 2000 -- then from the implications, they paint the broad, dark picture for us of the expected-to-be-close presidential election of 2008.
