This story exemplifies good journalism because it maintains its obligation to reporting the truth. It gives an unbiased view of Gov.Sarah Palin and her motives of running her state of Alaska. The story is well sourced, citing various government and other top officials. The several reporters who contributed to the story seemed to do a good job researching the topic, and provided the reader with a very detailed account of the governors past. As difficult as it is to remain objective while writing a political piece, the story was written from a neutral perspective which enabled the reader to get an accurate grasp of what the governor was all about. The information was presented in a clear and factual manner, all backed by reliable, credible sources. The story also is an example of good journalism because it shows all sides of Sarah Palin, not just one. It shows the governor in a broad sense and doesn't limit the information to one part of her life. It gives the reader a chance to understand parts of the politician that they may not have understood before, and does it in a way that is easy to comprehend. Newsweek is a reputable news magazine and this story does a good job maintaing that reputation through its unbiased approach to the story.
