The Republican National Convention became the coming out party for Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska as John McCain's vice presidential nominee. A storm of worldwide negative media coverage scrutinizing every controversial detail of her life at times felt like a soap opera. Maybe... It seems like the hype is continued in covering Ms. Palin at all. The real reason anyone does anything is always suspect until we can begin to read minds. So maybe not.

Certainly anything the McCain campaign were to say about any of its motives is suspect. It has flipped positions numerous times on issues.
