The Republican National Convention became the coming out party for Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska as John McCain's vice presidential nominee. A storm of worldwide negative media coverage scrutinizing every controversial detail of her life at times felt like a soap opera. It presents a lot of speculation--well-informed speculation, I'll grant you. But, unless you could get a campaign operative to tell the truth about their strategy, you'll never know.
