Sarah Palin: Media Victim or Campaign Weapon?

The Republican National Convention became the coming out party for Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska as John McCain's vice presidential nominee. A storm of worldwide negative media coverage scrutinizing every controversial detail of her life at times felt like a soap opera. Interesting to see news clips from around the world on the reporting of Palin's nomination. Some speculation if the selection of an unknown candidate with issues was a tactical ploy by McCain to unify the party by attacking the media or if it was a selection that showed his lack of judgment. With the revelation today that McCain was standing in front of a picture of Walter Reed Middle School located in Hollywood instead of Walter Reed Hospital during his acceptance speech as President of the United States, I am betting it was lack of judgment and not strategic planning.
