This little fact-checking article offers a truncated analysis of the differences between Sarah Palin's claims made in her acceptance speech and the actual truth about the various matters. The facts are important for any voter wanting to know the fuller truth about Palin, but these facts and more have been explored much better in several other articles that have been written.

The Anchorage Daily News provides some fact checking on statements made by Palin at her speech to the RNC, specifically about the gas pipeline and earmarks. Based on her speech I thought the pipeline had been or was in the process of being constructed but approvals have not even been obtained with the federal energy regulators.

I rarely read the Anchorage Daily News but I always find it informative to check out the local news when a specific region is of great interest. I immediately went to local Alaska news sources as soon as I learned about the Governor being on the Republican ticket. This article was factual and informational. Only my ignorance of local news sources of Alaska leaves me to rate it poorly as to trust. The Seattle media also seems to be more interested in Alaska than other American areas. I haven't checked out Canadian sources yet but I hope others have been active.
