Focusing on attempts to steer coverage away from Sarah Palin and back toward John McCain was an effective way of framing more generic coverage of the convention. This story is a bit heavy on quotes, and could have contained some more original research rather than talking heads, but what the Chronicle has here is accurate and well-presented.
