Republicans Regroup for Compressed Convention

Senior party officials and strategists for Senator John McCain acknowledged that the storm-shortened first day of the convention had cost them a valuable chance to present their case for Mr. McCain to voters, and they were racing to recoup on Tuesday, and encouraging the television networks to air more of the proceedings than planned. Holy moly! And here I thought they were just trying to keep McCain, Bush, Lieberman, and Palin off of TV. I thought it was a pretty good strategy. So I'm grateful to Hulse for setting me straight. Oh well. This, my friends, is what passes for serious reporting in our sorry media these days.
