Obama-Biden Ticket Leads by 6 Points

Gallup Poll Daily tracking from Aug. 28-30, including two days of interviewing since the close of the Democratic National Convention, finds Barack Obama with a six percentage point lead over John McCain in the presidential contest, 48% to 42%.

The Poll is mostly horse race info by nature, this one does not present correlation to issue opinions. Polling methodology is not presented clearly up front.

I"m happy to see Gallop has found a way to interview cell phone users. But in a race so markedly different from recent races (race, breaking up of old coalitions, etc) the fact that this poll has a margin of error of up to 4 percentage points makes a the results reported here hardly news
