A looming constitutional crisis?

I don't think we've ever been in this situation before, where the Commander-in-Chief will have been so completely discredited and the bulk of the American population so antagonistic to continuation of a war begun by the President in question. One might invoke Harry Truman, who had extremely low approval ratings in 1951-52 (thus, among other things, the Steel Seizure Case), but I don't recall many Americans saying that the Korean War was a mistake and that ... Hypotheticals. Clearly an anti Bushite but still good reading. I will read this author again if he or she gets posted. Fact is there is no anti war movement in congressional VOTING to speak of so there will be NO constitutional crisis. Except for a few maverick, high profile, token gestures this congress is well heeled by the war lobby. It'd be great if I was wrong on this.
