A leader among the "New Evangelicals."

So there was a lot of God Bless this and that, although, interestingly, nobody asked God to damn America. And there were lots of "faith leaders" in attendance. Contrary to popular belief, I have no qualms with any of this, even if I question to what degree it might be effective.

The article presents more information on the man presenting the closing prayer at the Democratic convention. All the god-talk at a political convention for a secular government is sickening, but this article gives an openminded set of insights into this man and a more progressive framing of religiosity.
