The latest news regarding Russia's continued occupation of Georgia, as well as moves to strengthen its hold on South Ossetia. Very good breadth and depth of reporting with lots of detail. Well researched and sourced--about as good as a news report gets during wartime.

Stenographer Michael R. Gordon does here what he does best: Repeat information from unnamed government sources. The Russians are portrayed as the problem. It's up to them to keep their promises and act like responsible international citizens, just as Americans have in Iraq--a conflict Gordon and his colleague Judith Miller helped mislead America into. Check out Gorgon's solid record in support of neo-con causes. This is more of the same.
