This story takes more of breaking news angle than provides the context necessary to understand the danger of the test firing. A better example is the Martha Raddatz multimedia story on the same topic (also posted on NewsTrust).

I'm not sure why ABC News, which must deal with video and multimedia--in addition to writing--is producing more depth than one of America's newspapers of record. This story was posted today at 9:29 a.m., so deadlines are not the issue. Also, the Post has more staff so the triple bylined reporters here need to play catch-up and source U.S. officials (and Israel's) on the military option being discussed openly now, even in the Obama administration.

At a conference Monday of European Union defense ministers in Sweden, E.U. foreign policy chief Javier Solana called on Iran to immediately resolve issues surrounding the new enrichment facility near Qom and said the missile tests also have raised concerns.

Hillary Clinton is buried in this article, and she’s hawkish about this situation (which, by the way, I support).
