Hearing Georgian civilians' perspectives on the Russia-Georgia conflict makes this a worthwhile read. On the other hand, this collection of posts is sprinkled with misinformation, rhetoric and the brand of armchair analysis that make it an unreliable source of on-the-ground facts.

Great news roundup by Global Voices regional editor Veronica Khokhlova, pointing to blog posts and independent reports from Tbilisi, Georgia and nearby areas affected by the recent conflict with Russia. These independent voices add an invaluable perspective to the mainstream media coverage reviewed elsewhere on NewsTrust. It's in situations like these that blogs and the Internet really make a difference, and Global Voices does a great job aggregating all this helpful information.

It's interesting to here the political analysis from Georgian's themselves, but the truth is I didn't read anything I haven't read elsewhere.
