Stung by the recent passage of legislation to expand government surveillance powers, two prominent liberal bloggers are teaming up with right-leaning libertarians on a new political action committee to combat perceived threats to civil liberties.

NY Times blog post provides factual information on a new organization to protect civil liberties. Accountability Now, is comprised of both left and right groups who have come together as strange bedfellows as a result of the FISA vote. Information is provided on the mission and success to date of some of the organizers. Accountability Now is planning on dropping money bombs targeting both sides of the aisle on Iran and to ask for a congressional investigation of the anthrax.
