Excellent. It represents what we want & need in good journalism. We no longer have intelligent, fair reporting or even any adherence to the values of what journalism should be. Report the news, no lies, no distortions. Impossible now that the corporations control the media. A good example was Bob Schieffer of Face the Nation that I praised as a good journalist. I was greatly dismayed to see how he attacked Gen. Wesley Clark's statement that a war hero is not a qualification for a president. The following week it was apparent to me with the sponsorship of Exxon Mobile of the program. Brokaw's interview of Obama was not only stupid but extremely offensive. The behavior of the media today is so glaringly grotesque and lacking any integrity. Not only do we have to regain our democracy but we need to clean up the media in this country. So many of us do not depend on American media for information. The TV & press keep repeating endlessly about murders, celebrities, robberies and many mundane subjects. I for one have to go to the independent press, Democracy Now, BBC, French news and PBS for any clear and fair reporting. At least I will find out what is going in the world more than our media will ever give us. I resent that the U.S. media decides who will win in an election and not the general public.
