Article isn't particularly strong or in depth on its own, but is a useful adjunct to the conversation about climate science and the relevancy of the hacked e-mails. The article quotes Francesca Grifo, the director of the Union of Concerned Scientists Integrity Program.

This is a press release from a political advocacy group, andf therefore by definition is not journalism. The authors ignore almost all of the Climategate scandal, which is about the bad data and poor computational systems used by CRU. Most experts also consider the files to have been released by a whistleblower, not "stolen".
