Thoughtful opinion piece about some of the side benefits of China's estimated $40 billion investment to prepare for the Beijing Olympics. While this may not be sufficient to fully clean up that city, or come close to address its air pollution problems, it is an important start in the right direction. The author presents her arguments fairly and reasonably, and I gained a couple new insights from this fine article.
