This article doesn't even rise to the level of journalism. Only two pro-impeachment speakers are quoted: a non-substantive comment from Congressman Wexler and a statement from Hank Johnson that is trivialized by Milbank. Mr. Milbank helpfully informs the reader that Congressman Kucinich is “diminutive” and has a “much taller wife” (that really moves the discourse forward). Nothing is said about the substance of Congressman Kucinich's resolution. Statements from Republicans (and there are five quotations) are presented with approval and no criticism. Milbank treats any support of impeachment as limited to the "far left" - ignoring the testimony by former Reagan official, Bruce Fein and referring to Bob Barr as current Libertarian Party Presidential candidate, without mentioning that he was one of the managers for the Clinton impeachment while in Congress. And at no point does Milbank discuss the real reason for the hearings. Snidely characterizing a serious and historic discussion of significant Constitutional issues as "anger management" is beyond irresponsible, and close to a firing offense.
