This post is a partial rundown of Friday's activities of the House Judiciary Committee (regarding "misconduct" of the Bush Administration). It is very sad that all of this will not result in prosecution or impeachment.

The article summarizes Friday’s session of the House Judiciary Committee’s hearing about Bush’s Imperial Presidency. The discussion peeled off along the usual lines: Republicans angry about being around the "I" word; Democrats angry about what they consider the arrogant lawlessness of Cheney and Bush. Nothing will come from all this; the opportunity for impeachment is past; and it looks like they got away with it. Representative Mike Pence said the session, "caused him to worry about ‘the criminalization of American politics.'" There has been criminal behavior, all right. But by whom?

The problem they have is that he hasn't committed any impeachable offenses. The ones they give are entirely spurious and false.

Hard to read this and realize this is probably the last we will hear from the House about impeaching the arch criminals in the White House. This should have been an imeachment hearing, just like what creepy Republicans did to Bill Clinton. What was the charge? Lying to Congress about having sex in the White House, ha ha. If you believe that was the first time it happened, illegally or not, you are doubtless a right wing idiot. I think a majority of Americans approve impeachment for Bush and Cheney. They are liars, torturers, common crooks and actually war criminals who have murdered over 7000 innocent Americans or are responsible for their deaths, and God knows how many Iraqis and Afghans they have killed.
