Commentary: Back to the future in the war on terror

The events of this week served to underline the fact that the war on terrorism was always really about Afghanistan and Pakistan, and that President George W. Bush's splendid little adventure in Iraq was always a sideshow, even though it siphoned off the biggest chunk of manpower and resources.

It is a valid presentation. It states all of the facts that most of us know to be true about Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan. It is upsetting that all of the articles now being written in the media should have been done starting in 2002. Members of Congress and the Media were worthless and cowardly. Now that they are speaking up about the invasion is infuriating after so many Iraqis and American soldiers have died and/or been brutally harmed forever.
