Using different technologies in making concrete as a way to take greenhouse gasses (CO2--carbon dioxide) out of the air is a fascinating idea; getting this idea out and published is one of the article's strongest points. Overall, however, the piece is almost uni-dimensional in explaining the pros/cons and possibility/impossibility of new proposed technologies. The reporter needed to dig deeper and get more facts and quotations from the sources. He also needed to bring in differing viewpoints: how would the construction industry view building with these new types of concrete? Is it more expensive, and if so, would higher building costs be eventually passed down to consumers/home buyers? There is much more to the story here, and it is largely unreported. The topic is very timely and important, so it would be interesting to hear more context; this would make the article more relevant and possibly more widely read.
