Will this be the first presidential-contender level scandal to occur completely in the undernews, without ever being reported in the cautious, respectable MSM? Story gossips that the MSM is not picking up on the National Enquirer story about John Edwards. There is no journalist merit in repeating a National Enquirer story which is not mentioned in this story as the source for the rumor. Inquiring minds want to know where the photos of Edwards in a hotel lobby are posted? This story belongs at the supermarket check out stand with the stories of 4 headed sheep until there is independent confirmation from a reputable news outlet, which does not include a tabloid.

Sad but probably true. Better for the "Enquirer" to put it out today than for the republicans to use it after Edwards is proposed for a cabinet position. What is it with these people?

This news analysis has considerable journalistic merit. It is excellently sourced, and includes a substantial listing of where the major news story was and was not reported. It is a serious issue for the mainstream media, carefully defined in this and the numerous prior stories by this analyst. Note: The story originated in the Huffington Post, but due to Conflict of Interest rules that story cannot be rated on NewsTrust.
