UN to give big boost to nuclear free world

With President Barack Obama presiding over a historic session, the U.N. Security Council unanimously approved a U.S.-sponsored resolution Thursday committing all nations to work for a nuclear weapons-free world.

Potentially the most important news of the year, if it can be energetically moved forward by all parties.

Unfortunately, the talk is focused upon bad-mouthing perceived villains, rather than on the steps the US and Russia and Israel and China and India and Pakistan and France and Britain should be taking, and have not taken after past pacts. Hair trigger MAD is still in place.
