An in-depth analysis of the percentage of coverage the media gave to various stories last week. Chief among them was Obamas’ trip to the Mid-East. Quoting: ‘The Guardian newspaper in England likened the anticipation to the Beatles’ first trip to North America.’ American media also treated Obama’s trip as his first–ignoring the fact that he made a similar trip to the Mid-East in 2006. However, the irony was the blind-siding of both Bush and McCain by Maliki who, in a German magazine, said he agreed with Obama’s redeployment proposal, giving him a quasi endorsement. Effectively sinking Bush’s occupation plan and rendering McCain’s schedule 98 years out of date.
