Jack Shafers article delivered on the title minus one large fact - Breitbart is more of an insider than Jack Shafer the writer of this article. He is cheering Andrew Breitbart and crediting him with assisting in the expose of an organization that has been a favorite political football of the Right, a controversial institution and quite sadly, a corrupted public service organization. To that end and the I understand the writers premise, he adequately provided rationale for his position and from a journalism perspective - he covered the checklist. However with that one major problem - he's calling an insider - a commentator for the Washington Times and media entrepreneur an outsider. One can put a sign on a horse that reads 'cow' but it's still a horse, irrespective of one's wishes.

Here is where I get to write my editorial comment on the article and I begin be stating my disagreement with the Shafer's conclusion. Andrew Breitbart an outsider ?? Sorry this train left the station off the rails. He writes as though Breitbart were some citizen journalist on an obscure blog. Breitbart is a very successful media businessman. Whether he practices journalism, info-tainment or Voo-Doo is irrelevant. He is by no means an outsider. Acorn appears to suffer from advanced stages of low-level corruption of their mission. This is starting to emerge as a recurring theme - but - to use anecdotal repartee as a blind for softening the severe and incendiary rhetoric that emanates from Breitbart et al is very disingenuous and deceitful in itself. Sorry ... not buying this repackaging.
