The push is on for President Barack Obama to send more troops to Afghanistan, perhaps as many as 40,000 more. This article includes facts, but does not follow the facts. It seems to me that General McChrystal is saying he needs enough troops to protect the people. He does not need troops to fire at the people they are to protect. Over time those people will work, make money and set up local government.
